In as much as my wife carried our baby from day one to birth,
I was and I am part of his life too
As she screamed and pushed to bring him to our world,
I sweated and prayed to hasten the process (lol)
She felt the physical pain
I feel the pain emotionally
She went through rigours and stress
I had mental stress
We both laboured to have our prince
Although her labour was describable, Mine was not
She was supported by everyone around, I was not
Nevertheless, I had to support her all the same
As much as a mother’s commitment can never be waived,
a father’s responsibilities too cannot covered
Every child is endowed with both real parents; father and mother
And I am proud to be called a real dad
