How do you feel when your mom isn’t home to prepare your food and you’re asked to cook the meal yourself or have one of your siblings do it? Do you feel confident in your cooking skills and able to make a delicious meal, or would you rather avoid the task?
I think everyone enjoys it more when their mummies perform the magic in the kitchen. On days like this, you will eat more and more especially when it is your favourite meal. Mummies have this special way of turning raw foodstuff to irresistible delicacies. I will say they are skilled.
What do you think about David’s story? He was a skillful musician, writer, king, army…
What do you think about Joseph’s story? He was a dreamer (visioner) and an interpreter of dreams (problem solver).
What do you think about Da<span;>niel story? It was said that an excellent Spirit was upon him that made people to be envious of him.
What do you think about Lydia the seller of purple, Pricilla the tent maker, Deborah the prophetess.
All these Bible characters were not idle. They were good at doing something. And they weren’t just doing it to pass time, they are doing it well. No wonder we can tag them exceptional.
As God’s General, you have been gifted by your Commander with one, two or more uniqueness in form of potential/talent. It is your responsibility to discover it and use it well.
How? By using these 3 Ps;
1. Pray – Prayer is the key
2. Practice – indoor
3. Project – every time you have the opportunity

When God hides a matter, he gets glory. When kings figure out a matter, they get glory.
Remember the Parable of Talent. To one General, God gave 5, to another He gave 2 and to the last , He gave 1. What are you doing with the skills that God has given to you. Your skill is not for your personal consumption, it is given to shine light in the world. Matthew 5:16,18.
In conclusion, read Exodus 35: 30-35, 36:1a
Then Moses said to the Israelites, ‘Listen! The Lord has chosen Bezalel, the son of Uri and the grandson of Hur. He belongs to the tribe of Judah. The Lord has filled him with his Spirit so that he has special skills. He knows how to make many kinds of things. He can draw pictures of beautiful things that he wants to make. He can use gold, silver and bronze to make them. He knows how to cut valuable stones and make them look beautiful. He knows how to cut wood into different shapes. He is very clever at all kinds of beautiful work.
The Lord has chosen Oholiab to help Bezalel. Oholiab is the son of Ahisamach. He belongs to the tribe of Dan. Bezalel and Oholiab can teach other people how to make things. They have special skills to make all kinds of things. They can draw pictures of the things that they want to make. They can cut pictures in metal. They can use blue, purple and red material and good linen to make beautiful things with pictures on them. They are very clever at their work, so that the things that they make look beautiful.’
Then Moses said, ‘Bezalel and Oholiab will do the work that the Lord has commanded us to do. Everyone that the Lord has helped to have special skills will work with them.
Are you working with yours General?
