The phrase ‘Intentional parenting’ seems to be the only way to describe the best parents nowadays. In fact, if you don’t hear it from Parenting Coaches or at Parenting Conferences or read it in Parenting books then there is a problem. To some, it is more like a cliche.
It sounds nice to say that I am an Intentional Parent even if I don’t fully understand the how and the why (sounds like DyDx in algebra 😁)
It looks right to associate with Coaches, Conferences and Books that teach Intentional Parenting even if I can’t really explain the concept.
I wouldn’t like to deceive myself and think that everyone understands this phrase. This is why I have explained Intentional Parenting with an acronym every parent will remember.
With experience (Intentional Parenting is what I preach and practice. It is a calling and my commitment), I will say that if you are not doing these 6 things, then you are not intentional about parenting your little ones.
1. P- Purposeful
2. A – Accessible
3. R- Real
4. E – Empathetic
5. N- Nurturing
6.T- Truth in God
Full explanation on this acronym comes in the next article. Thank you for reading.
