7 Best Ways to choose your children’s school.

With my bag full of samples of some of Mum4real gift products for schools, I totally ignored going into this particular school on this day I had dedicated to Marketing. The school wasn’t the kind of school I personally thought would afford these “premium gifts” however with the help of the Holy Spirit I walked in after so much argument within. Although I didn’t get the deal as assumed however I got more than what the proceeds of that particular business deal would give me or the family at large.

If you are familiar with me regarding what I preach as per intentional parenting, you will know why the choice of school is important to us. I have walked through schools before during various school parties and the kind of songs played by DJs make me wonder if that’s a school or club. Also the kind of dance the children are been cheered for, the kind of jokes by the MC and the abnormalities in the list is long.

How then can I make the right choice of my children? Knowing what I want in terms of academic structure and environment is a bit challenging. Mind you, you may think what’s the big deal in this, however, Knowing the kind of Children we want to raise and putting them in that kind of school is a big deal to us.

A School that doesn’t align with our family values is not the right school for our children because ‘AN EGYPTIAN CANNOT TRAIN A JEW’!  If Moses was left alone with Pharoah’s daughter in his formative years, maybe he would have been the next Pharoah and not the one God used in leading Israel out of slavery.

These are some of the things that determine my choice of school
1. Our family values
2. The kind of Children we want to raise – We  are raising the PRESERVED Generation.
3. Our relationship with God – understanding our parental assignment and hearing Him per time
4. The school curriculum
5. The school vision
6. The school standard.
7. Open house policy

These are some of the things that either don’t matter, or are not deal-breakers:
1. Ambience
2. Fees: either cheap or expensive
3. My choice – ‘because I like it’

4. My friends
5. My status
6. The Name of the school
7. How long they have existed.

“And all thy children shall be taught of the Lord; and great shall be the peace of thy children” (Isaiah 54:13).

Be intentional!
