Arrows are ordinary sticks that are sharpened for war. They don’t fall from trees – they are meticulously selected and continuously sharpened for use. If they are dropped along the way, they become firewood or trash. Likewise, children won’t automatically become responsible, you have to keep sharpening them until they become arrows fit for God’s use.
Children are not burdens, they are blessings from God. These blessings come in their raw form. However, we have been empowered by God with the responsibility of bringing the best out of them. They are ARROWS 🏹 for God’s agenda.
Just as I cannot pick up a stick and sharpen it into an arrow without the required skills, I cannot just “train” a child to become an arrow. To get the required skills, I have to ask the One who moulded us all to help in sharpening them. I have to listen to His instructions and train them in His way else parenting would become a difficult & challenging task, causing me to see my children as burdens and not blessings.
