Day 6 Challenge: What is your child saying?

Many times, Tinuke calls herself several names simply because she believes so much in what her first role model, her mum says about her.

She has given up on trying to please her mum due to the negative results of her trials. Her mum thinks the words she uses will motivate and stretch her but in actual sense, the words are demoralising to Tinuke. Subconsciously, because she believes and regards her mum highly, she finds herself saying those same negative words to herself.

Our ‘voices’ echo loudly and continuously in the ears of these little ones – even when we aren’t saying anything. It is louder than we think, it autoplays in a child’s mind and gradually becomes who they are.

By default, they begin to say what we (parents, teachers, god mother/father and any other person they respect) say.
They call themselves the names we call them
They abuse when we do and they pray when they hear and see us pray.

Today, we declare that our children speak LIFE and their words are equipped with God’s promises.

Please teach them to daily confess 1 Pet. 2: 9-10.

Day 6 Challenge: Ps 45.1b, Is 49:2a.
