Enjoy them while they last!

Her phone rang and as she picked, the usual conversation started in her native dialect.

Caller: My husband, it shall be well with you.
Everything you lay your hands upon will prosper.
You will not enter into the pit of the enemy.
I will not cry over you.
You will be lifted…

Receiver: (She struggled to say “amen” quietly because she was used to the prayers.)

“Mum, I hope you are fine?” She said with a rush in his voice. I am sorry I haven’t visited in a while, I have been very busy here. I will try and see what I can do about your request this week. Bye and have a wonderful day.

Mum: Bisola, you have started again o, that was not why I called, I called to….

Bisola: Mum! I need to sort somethings now, talk to you later.

As she dropped the call, her daughter reminded her about their school inter-house sports day and she gave her reasons she can’t be there however she instructed the boy to talk to her dad about it.

I read this quote somewhere and I will like to share: “Enjoy the people in your life because they will never be this age again.”

Think about these categories:
Your parents
Your children

How are you entertaining their strengths and weaknesses?
How are you sacrificing for them?
How are you managing their excesses?
How are you enjoying their presence?

Soon, our parents will go home having done with this world and soon our children will leave our homes to face the real world.

Let us enjoy them today, so we will not live in regret when they leave tomorrow.
