“If the foundations are destroyed, What can the righteous do?” (Psalm 11:3 NKJV)
This verse is not a call for a pity party or a declaration of hopelessness; it is a wake-up call for every child of God. It is a call to act and not hide. A call to work and not crawl. A call to remind yourself that with God nothing is impossible!
As Kingdom Parents, when you see your children drifting out of alignment with God’s will, don’t sink into despair or bitterness, beating yourself up over mistakes or wishing you had done better. Instead, wake up! Respond the way God wants you to.
“For there is hope for a tree, If it is cut down, that it will sprout again, And that its tender shoots will not cease.” (Job 14:7 NKJV)
What Kingdom Parents Can Do
• Take Charge Through Prayer
Stand in the gap for your children daily. Declare God’s Word over their lives. Intercede with persistence.“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray…” (2 Chronicles 7:14).
Remember: If there is a parent that can pray, there is a God who will answer!
• Write and Run with God’s Parenting Vision
Ask God for direction concerning your children. Document it and pursue it faithfully. “Write the vision and make it plain…” (Habakkuk 2:2).
Don’t use the world’s standard to raise a godly child, that format won’t work.
• Surround Yourself with the Right Village
It takes a village to raise a child, but the question is: who are your village people?
Build a godly support system. Let your friends’ dreams align with your reality. Consider your child’s school, your church, and your overall support structure. “He who walks with wise men will be wise.” (Proverbs 13:20).
• Invite God into Your Daily Parenting Journey
God does not force Himself where He is not welcomed. Invite Him daily. Partner with Him intentionally. “Ask of Me, and I will give You the nations for Your inheritance.” (Psalm 2:8).
What Kingdom Parents Must Not Do
• Do Not Fear or Panic
Fear paralyzes. “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7). God specializes in restoration.
• Do Not Seek Wrong Counsel
Be discerning about whose voice you follow. “In the multitude of counselors there is safety.” (Proverbs 11:14). Be careful who you confide in.
• Do Not Cancel Your Prayers with Negative Words
Speak life, not defeat. God responds to what we declare. “As you have spoken in My hearing, so I will do to you.” (Numbers 14:28). Watch your language—your words carry weight.
Do Not Parent Alone Without God
Surrender the burden to Him.“Cast all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.”(1 Peter 5:7).
Finally, kingdom parenting is not passive — it’s active, intentional, and God-centered. When foundations seem shaken, the righteous can rebuild them through prayer, vision, godly community, and total dependence on God.
Never forget: we are raising children who will stand firm when the world crumbles. We are raising the Preserved Generation!
