Our lifestyles speak
Our actions teach
Our words communicate
Our body language emphasizes salient points
Even when we are trying to mind our language
Our thoughts are being demonstrated
And someone somewhere somehow gets the message,
Someone understands
That person could be your son/daughter
That person could be your little nephew or niece
That person could be your colleague or neighbour’s child
That person could be a friend or an acquaintance
That person could be your student either in school, church or mosque
That person could be your protégé
That person could be your employee
Or just anyone
Teaching is a daily activity
This is why I am encouraging us as we celebrate World Teachers’ Day today to be conscious/deliberate/intentional about it and with this encouragement, we say a big shout out to all teachers today.
