Yes I believe in names, in fact I cherish my names especially my first name and I know God is passionate about names too.
However, as parents, we need to be intentional in raising our children with a defined goal so our case will not become like “FOLORUSHO to fi kinikan gu ope”.
The way kings are raised is different for any other children.
The way presidents and world leaders are nurtured is different from the way we nurture other children.
Your hardwork and intentionality in working will help in achieving the reality you desire for your children when you were inspired to give him/her that name.
One of my mentors that I never met is Mama Hilda Adefarasin. She had 5 children and 3 are Pastors- Pastor Adefarasin of House on the Rock and his two siblings, Pastor Wale Adefarasin of Guiding Light Assembly in Ikoyi, Lagos, and Apostle Yemi Adefarasin of Kingdom Lifeline Apostolic Ministries in Abuja.
I have the understanding of scripture- ‘not by power or might’…that is incomplete scripture my dear parents. If you are working by The Spirit of God, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE. The same scripture says, God will bless the work of your hands and if parenting intentionally is one of the works of your hands with the goal of raising world leaders, God will bless it! Can I hear an amen?
Another example is Madam Susanna Wesley (you can Google her) she didn’t stop at christening her children Bible names like John Wesley who was one of her children but was intentional about her relationship with God and leading by example.
What can we say about Jochebed and Hannah? Their children were born at different seasons and named based on circumstances or inspiration from God HOWEVER, they did the work! They worked intentionally with God in raising these super heroes.
If your name will speak for you, then you have to be intentional about doing the work and including God in all of your parenting stunts.
