The Father of the prodigal son didn’t live a regrettable life and wishing that he trained the boy properly. What he did was to have the expectation that he would return and consistently talking a step of faith daily to receive him.
He didn’t blame the boy, his spouse or siblings. All he did was to look up to God and await the return of his son.
When the boy returned, he didn’t condemn him, neither did he control him. He instead confess his love to God by showing gratitude and celebrating his son’s return by the preparation of the feast.
You may not be well equipped to start Intentional/Kingdom parenting at the beginning of parenthood. Notwithstanding, I will like to encourage you that it is not too late to start.
Either with your toddler or your teenager…Start!
