As parents, we often wish to have our children 24/7. Yes I know some of us will say we can’t wait for resumption but we know deep down that we want them on our watch regularly. This is why we are anxious for the school to have CCTV and also create a way parents can watch wherever they are and whenever they want.
Nevertheless, kindly note the following and be assured that your children are in good hands.
1. God is with your children wherever they are. Don’t live in the fear of ‘what will my child be doing now?’ God never leaves us nor forsake us, in school, on the road…and in our homes.
2. God wants to be part of your school runs routine. Just like the road gets busier during school days, life gets busy. However as much as we don’t want to arrive late, miss out in school activities…we should intentionally involve God. Pray with your children, read the Bible and their devotional together.
3. Encourage your children to dream big! Don’t dream for them, dream together . As they share with you their dreams, enlighten and encourage them on how to make the dreams achievable.
4. Encourage your children to shine for Jesus. This is not just by word of mouth but our actions (what we do) and the characters we are intentionally building in them. Our children should be light bearers and make God happy wherever they find themselves. Remember that they are not in competition with anyone.
5. Pray with your children for God’s wisdom. The wisdom of God will help them to make wise choices.
May our children end this term/session and year successful in Jesus Name.
